A tasting offer of the best products of the Andalusian gastronomy in a traditional atmosphere inspired in the wine cellars from the nineteenth century, but with the comfort and technology from the century twenty one. With this presentation, the Franchise net Bodega La Andaluza from Seville is succeeding in Spain. At present time, it has eleven restaurants around the country- the last one was opened last Thursday in Seville and the next one will be in Valencia. However, the predictions are ambitious: Opening in 2008 more than 100 restaurants of the brand in the national territory.
“At the moment we are making a big effort to consolidate our restaurants in Spain, and we expect to close this year with a total of 22 restaurants, and with it, to duplicate our billing obtained in 2005”, emphasizes, the Expansion Director of Bodega La Andaluza, Alfonso Fernández. Last year it was reached more than 4,5 millon euros, taking into account the different operative units and the central Franchise itself.
But the expansion plans don’t stop there. In fact, it is planned that this brand crosses borders and lands in other countries in a short term. The first target is England, London, specifically. “Firstly we plan to expand the business in Europe, although we are receiving many requests from South America” says, Alfonso Fernández.
The inauguration of a new restaurant in London is planned to take place next year. Currently, this Spanish restaurant and tapas bar chain has presence in different places from Andalucia like Almería, Huelva or Seville as well as Cataluña, Galicia and Madrid.
“We are receiving many requests from different points of Spain, and this is mainly because of the type of food we serve , which is high quality food and the atmosphere we have created that is very pleasant and familiar”, adds Fernández. In fact, he says that the Bodega La Andaluza recipes “can be tasted in the same way in Galicia as Andalucia”.
Regarding customers profile, it is very diverse. As it is a business that includes the andalusian gastronomy and traditions – many of the premises have stages for flamenco shows -, it is attractive for all sort of people, foreigners and tourists. This andalusian Company, whose Head Office is in Seville, began its activity in 1987 with the inauguration of the first restaurant in the Spanish Capital. Thanks to its great success, the business expanded to other areas of the city and in 2002, due to frequent proposals to establish the business in other cities, it started its expansion under the franchise system. It was then, when it was created the brand Bodega La Andaluza.
This firm, also cares of its image in the internet. In fact, recently, its website has won the II Edition Best Website Awards, organised by Tormo & Asociados.
