A new tapas bar joins the large protagonists of the old part of the capital. It is a tavern of Andalusian style, fashion continues. In this case with Bodega La Andaluza, a franchise from Seville that opens its first restaurant in our province. It has a fairly careful decoration and evident care of the service, two appreciated details that are not commun in the sector. It is well known for its grilled meats, basically, Iberian pork cuts, but there is also ox meat of good quality, perhaps the best thing about the menu. The pork meat tend to be overcooked, perhaps because of the old prejudices on the meat of this critter. It is a mistake, and we are going to tell you something about iberian meat and the way of cooking it.
There is a large list of options: Starters, some simple salads with fresh cut vegetables, several type of "montaditos", cold cuts and some good quality canned fish like "ventresca". The fried dishes are good: the "mero" (fish) rolls with ham and cheese, and tha assorted andalusian fried fish is better than any other. Some "tapas" are included in the price of wine and others are charged separately. The wine list is not yet printed, but they offer some house-wines and a few crianzas and reserves at very good price. The latter is a general characteristic of this franchise, high quality at affordable prices.
What they need is to persevere and don`t lower the guard.
