Almond cake

1 1/2 cup butter, 4 eggs, 1 can condensed milk (397 gr.), 172 cup evaporated milk diluted in 1/2 cup water, 2 ½ cups flour, 1 coffee spoon baking powder., 1 ½ cup grated medium sweet chocolate, 3 spoons butter, 1 cup toasted almonds.


Whip the butter until creamy, add the eggs one by one, and the milk. Mix carefully but do not whip and add the flour and baking powder with rotary movements. Put into a circular mould (d=20 cms.) previously greased and floured. Bake it in oven at 180 degrees centigrade for 50 minutes, or until finished, as evaluated by piercing it with a knife. Remove from mould, cool and cut into two pieces. Cover one piece with the milk preparation, and put the other piece on top. Cover the cake with a thin layer mixture of butter, chocolate and condensed milk, and decorate with the almonds. This is an ideal recipe for a delicious sweet.
